Morning Links-2/11
-The cap situation looks pretty good now, despite previous dire reports suggesting the contrary.
-A tribute to David Barrett.
-The Jets made a minor signing.
-Don Banks gives his take on new NFL head coaches.
-While there is a lot of focus on the Jets' cap situation, few recognize the issues the Patriots may have if they keep Matt Cassel and dedicate a quarter of their cap to the quarterback position.
-The Jets may look to one of these free agent quarterbacks if Favre leaves.
-Parcells unsurprisingly parlayed the sale of the Dolphins into greater leverage in the future.

I'm intrigued by Kerry Collins
Given his performance this year where the Titans grinded by with ground game (The Jets should be able to do that) and defense (Need some work on the D but that’s Ryan’s speciality right?), he could come in and game-manage for the season for some success. That would allow the Jets to draft the future QB and give him time to develop.
Maybe I’m bias because I’m a Penn Stater too but I wouldn’t mind seeing Collins as the QB next year. Not a long term solution but it could definitely be worse.
