Guess Peter King is jumping on the, lets trash the Jets bandwagon. He picked the Jets to win but had this to say,“Congratulations, Jets. You’ve qualified for the playoffs, and a wild-card trip to Foxboro next weekend, by beating Curtis Painter and J.T. O’Sullivan in the second half of two straight games. What pride you must be feeling.” If he is gonna insult the Jets he should at least have his facts straight. The only seed the Jets can get is the 5th seed and if the Bengals and Patriots lose(which he also predicts),then the Jets would still play the Bengals as the Patriots would remain in the 3rd seed.
He also fails to mention that the Broncos started out 6-0 and choked themselves out of the equation. Ravens could have clinched twice now and have also choked. Dolphins and the Jaguars failed. But I guess that’s all the Jets fault. They don’t deserve to be in because they beat who the other team put on the field. Thats the lack of respect that Rex Ryan is talking about.
Exactly. No one mentions all the teams that dropped out. What pride they must be feeling.
And no one mentions that the Jets still showed up to play even after a devastating loss at home.
and the home of the... JETS!!!

yeah you mean to tell me that if the dolphins or the texans had the chance to play the colts back ups they would be apologizing? Hell no they wouldn’t!

i think peter king is writing out of anger, its not like they asked the jets players if they wanted to face peyton or painter, the mission was to beat the colts, and it didnt matter who was behind center or who was playing, so i dont think he is any any position to question the players pride, or our pride as Jets fans, i for one am gonna be damn proud to watch the Jets make the playoffs!!!

That’s what annoys me so much, people act like we asked for the back-ups and got them. We played who we got, that’s all we can do. All the other fans need to quit their complaining and get over it.

do you think it's worse
because rex made that christmas wishlist and did basically ask for them to sit out?
personally i think its a BS controversy because all of the 8-7 teams only have themselves to blame for not having one more win and making the whole thing irrelevant (this goes for the Jets too).
PK piles on the Bengals all the time, he really has a serious disain for them it seems.
I don’t know if it stems from the time he spent as the Bengals’ beat writer for the Cincinnati Enquirer or what, but he absolutely refuses to give the Bengals credit unless it is simply unavoidable.
My point is this: don’t worry about Peter King. He’s an arrogant blowhard who writes about his writing itself because he’s just that narcissistic. :)

The main reason not to worry about him
He won’t be on the field against us.
That’s all that counts – who is on the field. Peter King and every Peter King can write whatever the hell they want.
