New York Jets "at" Buffalo Bills in Toronto Game Thread

New York Jets at Buffalo Bills, Dec 3, 2009 8:20 PM EST

What's at stake tonight? A .500 record heading to the season's final quarter. Eliminating almost any realistic path to last place. Avoiding a sweep to a second division rival this year. Maybe pick up a few fans North of the Border. Oh yeah, and keep faint Playoff hopes alive. Don't expect the crowd to play much of a role in this one. The stadium was dead when the Bills "hosted" the Dolphins in Toronto last year.

Leave thoughts below.

Legitimate as long as it gets them a new arena where they are at.

Hey, commentators

Why don’t you watch a few more replays and then wait for the ref to make the call? One is saying, “That’s a touchdown!”, while the other is saying, “The Jets are gonna lose this challenge.” Providing a fan’s knee-jerk reaction isn’t part of your job description.

My guess is that since it takes a TO to challenge a play, they don’t want a team to win because the other team couldn’t challenge. But to keep teams from challenging just to slow down the game, they just make it so that all challenges have to come from the booth.

Wishbone?

Why not have Green and Jones a few yards behind the center, to the left and right of the Center. Angled Snaps means the Bills don’t know which one is getting the ball.

Oh lord

What do we have to lose in dropping Ainge in? Clemens clearly can’t hang in the same game Sanchez was managing. Why not like Ainge hand off to the running backs if Clemens is just going to give up major defensive yards?

This was why we should have went for it earlier on 4th and Inches in the Redzone. Now the smallest mistake by our D that gives up a TD might mean the game. Hell, a Clemens fumble could cost us the game.

No, we’ve seen what happens when you have an Offense that can’t threaten with the Pass and the D decides to load the box.

Look at all those sacks and fumbles and near turnovers. Look at the bad snaps and how the pressure gets to him. Ainge should be in over Clemens.

Pretty standard win

Take a slim lead, then keep running the ball and count on the D to maintain it. I believe our last three wins (in the last 2 1/2 months) have been like that.
