Revis Responds to 85

Darrelle Revis tweeted a response to Chad Ochocinco's trash talk.

"good morning world. i just woke up from this crazy dream. OGOchoCinco came to Revis Island and disappeared."

Funny reply. It seems like he took the taunts in stride. Good news for Ochocinco. Darrelle seemed genuinely upset when Randy Moss questioned his play in the first meeting between the Jets and Pats over a month ago. He responded by shutting Moss down a second time, one of the few bright spots in an ugly loss.

I wouldn’t support that decision at all, at least on OchoCinco. As much as I find him amusing, giving him a stage like that just sounds like a recipe for egoism.

I think Moss’s were meant as disrespect to Revis where as 85 is obviously just having a good laugh, and he has already tweeted about how good Revis is. Think they have a pretty good relationship built on mutual respect. Certainly is going to be funny to follow all these tweets.

From what I keep reading doesn’t seem like Palmer will play long and Ocho Cinco for that matter. So Revis may have to shut down Andre Caldwell instead.

The truly good players don’t need the fanfare. They play through the good and bad week after week. From Maynard & Sauer through Wayne Chrebet. Someone above rightly says this is a subplot to the larger picture, which is the “W” that Green needs.

Why is it not okay for people playing a little childrens game for a living, and making a shit ton of money to do it, to enjoy themselves? Why is it acceptable to walk around like a robot, showing no emotion then to have fun, enjoy yourself, and make the game much more enjoyable to the fans? This idea you have that Chads antics make him some kind of joke are just as ridiculous as me saying Reggie Wayne is a boring robot who brings nothing to the game, because he doesn’t ever celebrate. Maybe you should worry about guys on our own team like Scott and Rhodes who never seem to shut the hell up, without actually backing it up, rather then a guy who is a top 10 WR in the NFL and only talks in good natured way. I have a much bigger problem with Bart Scott yapping it up after getting embarrassed by Miami then for Chad Johnson to have some fun with a friend on twitter before the game.
