After 14 games... Same old mistakes.
Im thinking bust.
Still locks onto receivers; still forcing into coverage; still not sliding; still not making any clutch plays.
When will we see a 300 yrd day?
Never label anyone a bust after one season.
Hell you can even be a bust and turn it around. (alex smith) I want to see alot of improvement next year though.
Not saying he's a bust yet, but im thinking about it.
He’s made no improvement over the course of a season. He’s the exact same guy he was at the beginning of the year. If anything, you could argue that he’s actually regressed.
The Jets
are the only team that could lose a game like this. They deserve what they got. They played not to lose, instead of to win. The play calling in the red zone was atrocious. That is as much to blame as the kicking game. When you play for field goals, don’t act surprised when you miss those field goals. This game reminded me a lot of the Pittsburgh playoff game. Just like in that game, the whole time any smart Jet fan knew they’d just find a way to lose it somehow. It’s what they do.
Why can’t the league’s #1 rushing team punch it into the endzone when it’s smash mouth time? Whereas the Falcons have the easiest TD catch ever on fourth down.
and the home of the... JETS!!!

Vanilla play calling, teams seem to know what we are calling before we snap the ball, add to that terrible execution when it is needed the most, it’s pretty embarrassing.

How realistic is an "alternate option" plan?
Something like – “have Thomas Jones run it to the left, but if you see that the other team has loaded the box, change that to (for the sake of example) a quick pass to Keller”
How feasible is it to try to change the play based on the defense you seem to be facing?
Very feasible...
Teams call audibles all the time. Sometimes just like u said, they’ll call 2 plays in the huddle and the QB will say to “check with” him at the line.
But we can’t trust that our QB won’t throw a pick 6, so we try to ram it in then take the 3 if we cant..
Question from a Falcons fan:
What was the deal with the snowball?
