Rooting Guide - as I see it
Without the official post, I'm taking a stab at it, maybe generate a few responses and we can come to a consensus
Great job Cleveland knocking out the Steelers. That game was definitely on the wish list for all Jets fans.
Most important games:
Denver at Indianapolis - no brainer, if Indy wins they push Denver down in the Wild Card race and they clinch home field throughout - i.e. they will rest starters when we see them in two weeks (would be nice if they could still beat Jax next week)
Miami at Jacksonville - If Jax wins, Miami is done; If Miami wins, Jax is tied with Jets (assuming a win) and Miami although they both have tie breakers over Jets. Still I think given that they both have tough schedules the rest of the way out Jax plays Indy, NE, CLE and MIA plays TEN, HOU, PIT, I'm rooting for Miami to knot things up this week.
Carolina at New England - duh. New England should lose every week, this week especially.
Other games:Detroit at Baltimore - would be great if Detroit wins, not holding my breath
Seattle at Houston - don't care. Houston is done, unless the fluke 9-7 thing, since that's unlikely, might as well boost our strength of schedule.
New Orleans at Atlanta - If Atlanta loses they're pretty much done, might dispirit them for next week, but don't waste your karma here
Cincinnati at Minnesota - Hard for me to figure out the scenarios regarding whether Cincy clinches #2 and rests people, same as SD below. Jets play Cincy last game of the season, we'd like them to have their position in the standings solidified so they aren't playing for anything.
San Diego at Dallas - San Diego is also vying for #2
Buffalo at Kansas City - don't care. unless there is some weird tie breaker based on strength of schedule thing comes into play, so I guess go Bills???
Green Bay at Chicago - No relevance - hopefully some fun snow highlights
Philadelphia at NY Giants - No relevance, but should be fun to watch.
Arizona at San Francisco - No relevance
Washington at Oakland - don't care. unless there is some weird tie breaker based on strength of schedule thing comes into play, go raiders???
St. Louis at Tennessee - don't care. Titans are done, unless the fluke 9-7 thing, since that's unlikely, might as well boost our strength of schedule.
