New York Jets at New England Patriots Game Thead
New York Jets at New England Patriots, Nov 22, 2009 4:15 PM EST
This is a must win game for the Jets. I do not believe they can get a Wild Card with anything less than 11 wins. A loss in any remaining game will mean they can win no more than 10. A loss here would also put the Jets 3 back in the division with 6 to play. The Jets aren't going to outplay the Pats that badly down the stretch.
Meanwhile, a win gets the Jets back to .500, one game back and owner of the head to head tiebreaker with New England. It doesn't get much bigger than this the week before Thanksgiving.

My opponent has Brady Quinn
who decided to have a career game. So my team (9-1) is in danger of losing to a 1-9 team.

Bad break for the Pats. I’m sure the only reason they changed it to a fumble was to make it reviewable so they’d have the benefit of replay.

always looks like absolute garbage. It’s time for him to go.
This is the first week he actually said “well yeah I know I’m under scrutiny… I’m gonna make a play..” Instead of his usual cocky demeanor.
But the results speak for themselves. The guy was a bust of epic proportions. Between him and gholston we’re going to lose a fat chunk of money.

So, do you think Rex is being more conservative with Sanchez in the first? Because even though he came out last game and threw an INT I’m a big believer in having him step out there and be aggressive right off the bat. Maybe if he can get that confidence under him early then we won’t have to wait till the 2nd half for him to find his groove.
Just my two cents

No, that’s not what I mean, and you know it. You can be frustrated. I think we all are, but refrain from calling Sanchez “fucking idiot” or "dumbass " for throwing an interception. He’s out there trying as hard as he can.
If it’s that easy, go try out for the Jets yourself and play QB. There’s a fine line between legitimate criticism and just taking obnoxious shots at someone.

You have to be patient with him, he is a one year starter from college. You can’ judge a QB on one season, let alone 10 games.

I'm sorry but it's just becoming more and more apparent with each loss
When he keeps regressing like that and making the same mistakes over and over it’s just more and more evidence that Sanchez wasn’t really ready to play in the NFL. You can’t argue this. That fumble was his fault and that throw on the last turnover was his fault (the play call obviously was terrible but come on, throw it out of bounds at least or just eat the god damned sack)

i agree with what you’re seeing happen ex but so many qbs go through hard growing pains like kirk cameron without boner. And as you are, and as i mentioned the regression and lack of growth (even on something like not hitting below the waist when you throw a pick) is unsettling. I hope more than anything Marc can finish the season strong

Still believe in Sanchez though, let’s not lose the faith just yet, remember Peyton’s 1-15, 28 INT rookie season. Sanchez is a handful of games out of high school, he has a good skill set, just needs to improve his in game decisions which come with experience.
Personally still have faith in the guy.
