Buddy Ryan Is Confident
Rex's father has a good feeling about this weekend.
Do they have a shot against the Patriots?
"Hey, they already beat ’em," Buddy said, referring to the 16-9 victory on Sept. 20.
But the Jets will have to beat them at their place this time.
"It is a good challenge," Buddy said, "but he’ll enjoy it."
We'll get into it more later in the week. It's going to be tough considering the game is on the road and the way the Jets are playing. The Jets still do present the same matchup problems they did in the first meeting for the Pats, though. It's not as crazy as a lot are suggesting to think an upset could happen again.

4 o'clock game
= game over
on the other hand, jets hadn’t lost a 1pm game for two years until miami and has now lost 2 in a row. and they won their last 4pm game.
silliness aside, 10.5 pt underdogs. this is a game they should lose. but this is a team that will probably keep our remote hopes alive for a while before dashing them.

Same old Jets...
Will demolish the Patsies in New England and get us all pumped up and then they will drop 3 straight to nobodies.

We Believe!
Lucky for us, NE is pretty banged up right now— that injury list is lengthy. Plus, mentally, that Colts game had to take a toll on them.
Hoping Matt Light doesn’t play, maybe we’ll be able to generate some pass rush. Think we did a good job of getting to Brady in week 2 and effectively moved the pocket, which took him out of sync. Going to be tough to do that in their house though, may be a different story.
Plus they’ll have a lot of tape to watch and improve upon, not sure how many more cards Rex has up his sleeve.
Praying for a miracle like all of us, and the way this NE team has continued to improve this year, it would have to be a miracle. This is not the week 2 Pats.
This game is won/lost by the Jets secondary IMO. Moss, Welker, and Edelman is a tall order for any secondary, and now with Leonhard out we’ll be a little thinner back there. We’ve gotta get pressure on Brady to make their job easier.
On the offensive side, gotta establish the run early to make Sanchez’s job easier.

Buddy Ryan also added
that Bill Parcells thinks highly of Rex.
From Steve Serby:
Rex told The Post Monday that he would also reach out to Bill Parcells, his father’s nemesis in the 1980s.
"Bill thinks [Rex] is a helluva coach," Buddy said.
Has he told you that?
"Yeah."
Parcells said the same thing back in January, right after Rex was hired. Tuna had interviewed Rex for the Dolphins head coach job he gave to Tony Sparano. Parcells, through a spokesman, declined comment yesterday.
"I saw myself," Parcells said in January. "That’s what I was. I could see it.
"I’ve been in this business a long time now. Some guys are football guys. Some guys are in the football business, but they’re not football guys. They act like their job says football but they’re in it for a paycheck.
"This guy’s a football guy, and I could smell that."
and the home of the... JETS!!!
