Jets acquire WR Braylon Edwards

In a stunning move the Jets acquired disgruntled Cleveland Browns WR Braylon Edwards for special team stud Jason Trusnik and undisclosed draft picks.

Edwards, who saw his 60 game pass catching streak come to an end on Sunday, has been embroiled in a fued with LeBron James in recent days and has been persona non grata in the Browns short passing offense.  Edwards will team with Jerome Cotchery to give the Jets a solid 1-2 WR combo.  Provided the Jets didn't surrender too much in exchange for Edwards this is a steal for the Jets.

The trade comes the day after the 49ers agreed to terms with holdout WR Michael Crabtree.

Wow The Jets Are Serious

Mangini still bleeding Green? Mangini is doing more for the Jets now, than when actually coached them.

Yeah Because Stuckey was catching everything thrown to him

Im gonna miss Trusnik more. Never underestimate the importance of special teams. I guess Gholston will have a place to play after all, special teams. Too bad Mangini wouldnt take him for Edwards even up.

could be the ryan connection too

rex’s twin brother rob works for the browns, so i think there is definitely some influence there.

The most overrated WR in the NFL

he drops passes like theres no tommorow, and has not reached his potential.
He’s like a more unrealiable version of Chris Chambers.

Who's Jerome Cotchery?

I kid, I kid.

Yeah, I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this. The Jets managed to win the first three games with the tandem of Cotchery and Stuckey (who was being a big time player). Is it really good to mess with the team lineup a quarter of the way through the season?

Stuckey is a big time player?

ROFL!
