Keep the Titans Uniforms? Your Take

A lot of you out there have said that you don't like the throwback Titans of New York uniforms because they look ugly. I can understand that. I kind of like them because they're a tip of the hat to the past. Then again, so are the current active uniforms the Jets wear. Then again, the Jets have won 4 in a row with them since 2007. Aren't wins worth eyesores?

i guess it's good

that they’re winning in them.
but i really love the green with white stripes and vice versa.

if they weren’t actually selling ny titans jerseys, then i’d say it’s ok a couple times a year.
but as long as i see titans jerseys in stores, i can’t help but think it’s more about the dollars than a tip of a hat to the past.

by the way, i don’t know what the weather was yesterday, but the raiders wearing all black on a sunny day couldn’t have helped them.

I think they're ugly as hell

There’s a reason, same as the Denver throwback (yeesh), that they’re throwbacks. Whatever, as long as it’s only a couple of times a year.

Titan's uniform

The Jets haven’t been the Titans since the early ’60’s. The Jets gave the rights to use the Titans name to Tennessee, so let them wear those colors. There’s plenty of throwback uniforms in green and white to wear.

Titans Throwbacks

The Titans died when the Jets were born. I agree with Double T. The only Titans, these days are in Tennessee, and we transplanted Jets fans in Florida, who now also root for the Jaguars, hate the ground the Titans walk on; a hate that has never lessened since 1999, when the Jags went 15-3, with all three losses to the Titans, costing us a Super Bowl shot, and starting a downhill slide that led to Tom Coughlin leaving to go to the Giants. I still root for the G-men, too, so I have a problem when the three teams play each other.

Yeah I would prefer this throwback to the ones we are wearing now. Or they could bust out the alternate all white or all green jerseys. But I’ve had enough of the old AFL unis.

It’s a shame they don’t wear ’em more. But tbh I dunno maybe it was just growing up with the 80s~90s Jets uniforms that makes me want to see them again really badly. Come on, Jets, at least once throw me a bone here plz

The only reason

we are seeing these uni’s is because the league is celebrating a 50th anniversary. Next season we will not see these jerseys at all. That is why a lot of teams are throwing back. It’s no big deal.

We do this every year

We wear throw backs most seasons, it’s not just this season to celebrate the 50th. We wore them last year and the year before, etc etc

Jets uniform

Actually, even though I’ve been a Jets fan, since there has been a Jets team, I have always hated their green uniforms. I think they should get a totally new uniform, with a new color scheme.

since all my teams wear blue and orange (mets, knicks, islanders, and syracuse) it’d be kinda cool to have my favorite team of all sport those colors! but then we’d have to change the name of this blog! lol
