Ask a Silver and Black Dude
Well, it's certainly been a few weeks since I've been able to do one of these and hold my head up high.
Hello Jets fans! I am Raybin and I am a denizen of Silver and Black Pride. As I've done every week this season, I am coming onto the SB Nation site of our weekly opponents and writing a short FanPost offering to answer any questions/comments you may have about the Raiders, their players, our upcoming matchup this week....etc, etc, etc. It's been fun for all up until this point in the season and I expect it to continue with you fine folks here at Gang Green Nation. Fire away if the spirit moves you!
Oh, one more thing. You may be in trouble this Sunday....we've got a secret weapon and we're not afraid to use it

Hey I will be going to the game on Sunday and as a proud Jets fan I’m going to wear my jersey, what can I expect?

I've never been a Raider game, sadly
I live on the East coast, actually. Hoping to next year, though!
In any case, I gather it’s mostly like going to any game in another team’s stadium. Don’t act like a jerk and most people will leave you alone. You’ll probably get some good natured heckling. Like any fanbase, the Raiders have some crazy jerkoffs who will try to legitimately harass you, but that’s a risk you take in any NFL stadium.
Chances are, you’re in for a good time. Would probably avoid the Black Hole, though.

Radier Fans are Scary!
they come to the games with silver and black face paint—some even wear shoulder pads with plasitc spikes coming out of them——ooohhhhh – Scary!
Jet fan, show off your green and white or Titans blue and be proud…you should expect a glass of merlot and some wine carackers.

A few things
1) The D-line came to play. With the addition of Seymour and Ellis, the Raiders actually have one of the best front fours in the league….when they all show up and play hard. Seymour and Ellis aren’t a problem in this regard, but Gerard Warren and Tommy Kelly, the DT’s, can be. It’s no coincidence that the Raiders have looked best when they’ve been up and on the attack.
2) Mixing of the defensive scheme. Finally, finally, finally it went beyond the standard vanilla formations and mixed in zone coverage and blitzing, some stunts, the occassional use of the 3-4 and much else. The Eagles had no clue.
3) JaMarcus Russell finally deciding to play like an NFL quarterback.
4) Tom Cable calling a sensible game plan with screens and shorter routes and committing to the run more.

That's a tough call
Our offense doesn’t match up particularly well with anyone’s defense at this point.
If I had to pick, though, I’d say our running game against your Kris Jenkins-less defensive line. Our offensive line is such a patchwork right now, though, I’m not even very confident in that direction. Cable has to commit to the run game like he did last week, too.

Hey!
Hey man, its pretty cool to get people from blogs of other teams on ganggreennation, my first question would be how do u see the Raiders D and Jets Offense match up, second, are you guys expecting the Raiders to be the same team that they were against the Eagles or are the team that showed up against the giants and finally whats ur prediction for the game!!!
i think the Jets win 21-7!

ill get this 1 raybin
lets just hope we dont see sanchez dropping back too many times
if you guys keep it on the ground for the most part, you should be fine
i think itll be closer than 21-7….
if last weeks raiders come back, itll at least be a close game
i think they should since they got a taste of upset in their mouth, theyll want more
thinking the glass is half empty, i say 14-13 jets
but being a raider fan ill say 21-17 raiders
