Danny Woodhead Signed To Active Roster
Edit: DT Howard Green was released to make room for Woodhead
In a move that many expected, the Jets today signed Danny Woodhead to the active roster, a move that seemingly points to one or more likely both Cotchery and Smith being out tomorrow.
The Jets have signed practice-squad running back-turned-wide receiver Danny Woodhead to the active roster today, according to a person with knowledge of the situation who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he's not authorized to speck publicly. Dave Hutchinson reported

I guess Woodhead is officially a wideout now
he even changed his number from 22 to I think 83.

Yep
He changed it during practise this week. He has a much better chance to make it as a slot receiver than a running back. Got a feeling that this is his big chance tomorrow.

I think that is the easiest way to put it, thought he was ok in pre-season but he won’t be a noticeable miss.
