New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars at Baltimore Ravens, and Miami Dolphins at New York Jets Game Thread
Miami Dolphins at New York Jets, Dec 28, 2008 4:15 PM EST
This week's game thread will be different from the fourteen that came before it this season. It covers the three games involving the Jets this weekend. Jets fans will have their day begin at 1:00 with the Buffalo-New England tilt and continue at 4:00 as Baltimore and Jacksonville prepare to engage. Jets fans will only be able to glance at that contest in passing because nothing it relevant unless New York defeats Miami at the same time. Gang Green needs to win its own and hope one of the other two breaks its way. Even with all the negativity and hopelessness that has surrounded this franchise for the past month, I am not ready for this thing to end. I cannot and will not resign myself to another year of heartbreak until the final gun sounds in either the Meadowlands or Baltimore, and it is officially over. If you are going today, get in your seat early and make the stadium so loud that Chad Pennington cannot hear himself think. Leave everything on the field.
Leave any pre or in game thoughts for any of the three critical games in the comments section.

That 2:00 drill was an embarassment
The Bills are coached worse than even the Jets.

All right, here we go
Hopefully the Jaguars can pull it off. But it is odd that our interests are converging with Pats fans’ this much.

Yes!
Hey, if we win and the Ravens lose, we both make the playoffs. That’d be fine with me—-except we’d probably play you guys next week!

Yeah
Basically the same situation as two years ago, as I recall. The Pats won the first game that year, the Jets won in Foxboro, and then the Pats hosted the Jets in the first round.

between the dropped pass and those penalties. They really had a chance to get something going.

They do that exact play all the time
with Brad Smith. Favre lines up in the slot, and then Smith runs right up the middle. He’s a tremendous athlete, but that’s basically the only play they’ve called for him this year.

They ran Smith on a reverse against Oakland
that went for like 40 yards. Since then, we only see him in the Wildcat.
