I don’t know. They probably told him to eat the ball unless somebody was open. You don’t want a mistake there and an even bigger hole.

He did the smart thing by not throwing it to a receiver, but he should have thrown it away.

You pretty much know they’re gonna run it, and the Seahawks’ O-line is inexperienced. It shouldn’t be nearly this easy for them.

Well, that could have easily been a pass-interference call.

Receivers need to look back at the ball and try to go for it even if they have no chance. If its just a bunch of hand pushing by both guys there won’t be a call.
And...why wouldn't you try the FG there?

I was following the game on gamecast, but I had to run out for a few minutes. There were still like 10 minutes left when I ran out

If Jets beat Miami
and Buffalo beats New England, Jets still win the division, right? This didn’t have any effect on the tie-breakers or anything, other than taking control of their fate out of their hands.
